NHL Hockey Playoffs

Construction DryingDuring the NHL playoffs DRYCO regularly supplies additional climate control to help stadiums overcome temperature and humidity conditions.  As one can imagine, when playoff hockey runs into the late spring and early summer months, the HVAC system’s of many stadiums fall short.  Many of these systems were not designed for warm weather and sellout crowds.  The existing HVAC systems in these stadiums perform admirably throughout the season but when temperatures rise, so do the problems.  The picture (below/above) shows a few of the six 30-ton air-conditioning units and 50,000 cfm of desiccant dehumidification entering a stadium.

Our temporary System works with the Permanent System

This additional cooling and dehumidification is working in tandem with the permanent HVAC system to help maintain ideal conditions inside the stadium, as well as help the NHL deliver the perfect ice during the most important time – playoffs!  Because this stadium is located in a warm, southern climate, cooling was a concern, not to mention helping their HVAC system run smoothly by lowering the humidity levels with desiccant dehumidifiers.
